Most vehicles used to launch a spacecraft require some navigation or control to achieve the desired flight path. In order to obtain such control, the solid rocket vehicle is equipped with a thrust direction control system. Mechanical and aerodynamic techniques have been applied to correct the direction of engine thrust and provide the required control. This article is limited to discussing thrust control systems in which a lateral force is added to the engine thrust that produces a moment in the center of gravity of the aircraft to control. In this paper, a brief review of various thrust vector control systems is given, while for flexible joints
