四川西部高山森林因其所处地理位置和防护作用的特殊性,历来为专家、学者和社会各界所关注。建国以来,随着川西林区的开发建设,有关四川西部高山森林经营方向问题,一直争论不休,争论的焦点,是以用材为主?还是以水源涵养林为主?这中间随着林业管理体制的演变,争论有时热一点,有时冷一点。自从1978年提出“长江要变成第二条黄河”以来全国讨论热烈,众多的单位和专家、学者提出了种种建议。笔者拟就此问题谈点个人的浅见 一、对四川西部高山森林的地位、作用的评价及对当前面临主要问题的认识 Alpine forests in western Sichuan have always been the focus of experts, scholars and the community for their unique geographical location and protection.
