英汉语对比与翻译长期以来深受关注,它背后的庞大两大语系的语言文化背景以及人们迥异的思维模式是两种语言不同的根源。笔者在译言、译网等翻译网站的论坛上发起讨论,以母校教学楼的正名与译名为讨论出发点,讨论极其激烈,给出的译本也是各式各样,此次活动涉及到如古汉语、现代汉语基本句型句式及其变式的翻译;翻译的文化涵义、译者的主体性、读者反映论、目的论等等,本论文由此讨论为引,略谈自己对于英汉语对比与翻译的学习体会与观点。
