This article discusses the effects of the resolution of the acousto-optic deflector in the acousto-optic spectrometer (AOS), the coherent beam cut-off ratio, and the response of the photodiode array receiving system to the resolution of the AOS frequency. The broadening of the resolution linearity of the photodiode array pixel response is calculated. Through these discussions, the selection principle of the AOS design parameters (beam cutoff ratio, Fourier lens focal length, array element number) is obtained, , Frequency bandwidth and sidelobe of the instrument profile to make AOS suitable for the quantitative basis of the specific observation requirements. The above theoretical calculations were verified by experimental measurements.
