今天是伟大的中华人民共和国建国十周年的日子。我国各民族人民和我们在全世界的一切友人都欢欣鼓舞地庆祝这个有伟大历史意义的光辉节日。十年前的今天,我国各民族人民的伟大领袖毛泽东同志向全世界庄严地宣告了中华人民共和国的诞生。从此,中国进入了历史的新时期。十年,这在人类历史上只不过是短暂的瞬间,而在我们的新生的人民共和国,却发生了翻天复地的伟大的变革。这是六亿五千万人民在中国共产党和人民领袖毛泽东同志的英明领导下,在社会主义革命和社会主义建设战线上取得了辉煌成就的十年,是马克思列宁主义在中国取得了伟大胜利的十年。
Today is the day when the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China is great. The peoples of our nation and all our friends throughout the world are delighted to celebrate this glorious festival of great historic significance. Today, ten years ago, Comrade Mao Tse-tung, the great leader of all ethnic groups in our country, solemnly proclaimed to the world the birth of the People’s Republic of China. Since then, China has entered a new historical period. In the past ten years, this has only been a brief moment in human history. In our nascent People’s Republic, however, great changes have taken place. This is the ten-year period for the 650 million people under the wise leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and people’s leader Mao Tse-tung to make brilliant achievements in the socialist revolution and the socialist construction front. It is a great victory of Marxism-Leninism in China ten years.
