It is common practice to pay tribute to the wisdom and eloquence of these texts when studying ancient scriptural texts. Despite the age-old texts, they sometimes provide pertinent references for solving contemporary problems. One of the problems is the huge income gap that exists in the world’s major economies. Ancient philosophers in their own times are fully aware of the disparity between the rich and the poor is a serious threat to social stability. What I want to make is that these ancient people’s proposals have real value to the rulers and they deserve our analysis and policy making.
