Hans Werner Henze (1926 ~) was one of Germany’s foremost composers after World War II. In the twentieth century in the history of Western music, Heng Ce is a more unique master. He is not famous for the radicalization of technique and can hardly be classified as a specific genre of music. In his harmony system, the three-tone fixed “chord” occupies an important position. Its unique structure and its wide range of applications in the works make it have some “functional” meaning in the traditional harmony system. The structural features and functions of the moving chord fully embody the creative concept of the composer rooted in tradition and keen on innovation. “Move Chord ” is a microcosm of Henze’s musical technique and style.
