区域活动是当前幼儿学习的一种途径,也是推进幼教改革的一种教育活动新形式。它是以快乐和满足为目的,以操作、摆弄为途径的自主性学习活动,是幼儿主动地寻求解决问题的一种独特方式,而在区角活动中,幼儿的兴趣往往来自于材料,幼儿的各项发展更依赖于对材料的操作。材料是开展区角活动的物质媒介,对幼儿建构知识,起到的就是一个桥梁的作用。只有通过它才能达成教育活动的教育目标。材料是否有趣、可变、可操作,是否符合幼儿身心发展的特点,直接影响到幼儿能否主动参与区角的兴致。
