Atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory disease caused by innate or acquired immune response, has become a common disease that seriously affects the health of middle-aged and elderly people in our country and has a trend of increasing year by year. In the process of disease occurrence and development, many kinds of cytokines and effector T cells have different effects on the response process of this disease. Recent studies have confirmed that CD4 + T cells (including Th-1, Th-2, TREG, Th-17) play an important role in the development of atherosclerosis and plaque rupture. Th-17 cells are considered to be closely related to chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases, but Th-17 cells and its secreted marker interleukin-17 (IL-17) play a role in the development of atherosclerosis Still further understanding of this article to Th-17 cells and IL-17 and atherosclerosis research advances are discussed.
