日前,中国科技大学极地环境研究室孙立广和谢周清教授等,首次对北冰洋中心海域甲烷排放进行了实地采样分析,发现该海域储存了大量甲烷,海冰对甲烷的区域循环具有双重作用:阻碍海水中甲烷的排放,同时海冰表面或内部存在消耗大气甲烷的过程。这一结果为科学评估北冰洋海域对温室气体甲烷的贡献提供了依据。国际大气环境领域著名期刊《大气环境》在线发表了这项成果。
Recently, SUN Li-guang and XIE Zhou-qing from the Laboratory of Polar Environment, University of Science and Technology of China conducted the first field sampling analysis of methane emissions in the Arctic Ocean Center. They found that there was a large amount of methane stored in the sea. The sea ice played a dual role in the regional circulation of methane: Methane emissions, while the sea ice surface or internal consumption of atmospheric methane process. This result provides a scientific basis for the scientific assessment of Arctic ocean contribution to greenhouse gas methane. The international atmospheric environment, the famous journal “Atmospheric Environment” published the results online.
