Translation is a bridge between different languages in the exchange of ideas of human beings. It is also a communication activity of people who know different languages through the re-expression of the original texts. Translation is not a simple imitation of the original copy, but a sublimation of art. How to grasp the degree of freedom of the translator become the core issue of this article. Based on the definition of translation standard and degree of freedom, this paper analyzes the relationship between translation standard and translation degree of freedom. Through analysis, we come to the conclusion that the degree of freedom of the translator is based on the standard of translation, and the standard of translation determines that the degree of freedom of the translator is relative and only the freedom at the level of language expression.
