解放前,我校是一个有600多个学生的私立高小。校址在一个高嶺上,学生活动場地很小,不到四平方丈。上体育課时,学生要跑到距离学校約二华里的山上,每节課的时間只够来回走路,有时只好在河灘上上課。当时处此环境,教师只求不出事故,談不上体育教学,最好的办法就是打一打乒乓球,即算打乒乓球,也只有兩張破爛的桌子,别的东西,一点也沒有。解放后,由于人民生活的改善,党和人民政府对教育事业的重視和关怀,教育事业的发展非常迅速。我校由原来的600多学生增加到1000多名,学校校舍及設备却不够用。从54年起党和政府逐年逐期撥給我校修建經費,并发动群众捐助。于是在学校附近新建了4間教室,一栋能容納二十几个教員居住的宿舍,还有十多间杂屋,我校便成了一个設备較好的小学。可
