β2-adrenoceptor (β2-AR) is an important part of the sympathetic nervous system and has important implications for the short-term and long-term regulation of blood pressure. If the gene that determines the β2-AR trait is mutated, it can cause essential hypertension (EH). Therefore, the research on the relationship between β2-AR gene polymorphism and EH has drawn much attention.
