联通说,它是目前国内四大电信运营商中,惟一一家完整经历垄断与竞争的公司。电信拆分成为公认的中国电信业引入竞争机制的真正开始,尽管是否达到充分的竞争,仍然受到多方面的质疑。2002年,电信拆分格局形成,中国电信和中国网通公司分别成立,与2000年成立的中国移动公司及联通公司形成四足鼎立的局势。而早在10年前的1994年,联通已开始独立求生存的征途。 因此,要追溯国内通信业打破垄断的历程,联通是不能回避的一个环节,而要论及对垄断的恨和竞争的爱,可能也没有哪家电信运营商,有联通如此切肤的感受。
Unicom said that it is currently the only one of the four major telecom operators in China that has undergone a complete monopoly and competition. The telecoms split became the true beginning of the introduction of a competition mechanism in China’s telecom industry and despite many challenges it still faced. In 2002, the telecom split pattern was formed. China Telecom and China Netcom Company were established respectively, forming a four-way situation with China Mobile and Unicom, established in 2000.
