The purpose of this study was to establish methods and criteria for the evaluation of follicular growth during treatment cycles in normal individuals. The authors used a sector scanner to fill the bladder and measure the three diameters of follicles in a vertical plane. The geometric plane diameter and the follicular volume (FVOL) are calculated as previously described. The study included 25 consecutive cycles of women who did not receive any medical treatment to affect ovulation. Menstrual period (MA) and the average diameter of individual follicles compared with the data using bivariate analysis. Calculate the slope average from the individual’s slope (n = 25).
