The Haarlem Renaissance movement is a cultural movement of great significance to the history of African Americans in the 1920s, marking the maturity of black literature. At that time, not only a group of influential black male writers emerged, but also many outstanding black female writers such as Jessie Forset, Narla Larson and Zola Heston emerged. Based on their own unique historical culture and heavy literary accomplishments, they formed their own literary system, which occupies a very important position in the history of the contemporary American black female literature.
