据有关方面统计,1972年全世界军费开支不足3000亿美元,到1982年即达8000多亿美元。目前全世界一年的军费总额已超过1万亿美元。这一数字表明,自第二次世界大战以来,全世界军费已增长了4—5倍,约占全世界总产值的6%。目前全世界有7000万人从事军事领域的工作,全世界的核武库有5000余枚运载工具,弹头5万余个,总当量在130—160亿吨;常规武器共有14万多辆主战坦克,3.5万架作战飞机,2.1万架直升机,1100艘大型水面作战舰船,700艘攻击潜艇。平均每分钟就有200万美元耗费在军事活动中。近年来,随着世界总体局势的变化,各国对自己的战略部署逐步进行了调整。在军费开支方面出现了这样的趋势:美苏两个军事大国和其他西方发达国家保持在高起点
According to relevant statistics, the world’s military expenditure in 1972 was less than 300 billion U.S. dollars and reached more than 800 billion U.S. dollars in 1982. The total amount of military spending in the entire world for one year now exceeds $ 1 trillion. This figure shows that military expenditures worldwide have increased 4-5 times since World War II, accounting for about 6% of the world’s GDP. At present, there are 70 million people in the world who work in the military field.
