The WTO, a multilateral economic organization that nowadays rules international trade, now has 135 members. It is also known as the “three pillars” of the world economy with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Non-discrimination, market opening, fair trade, the balance of power and obligation are the four basic principles of the WTO, and it is the largest multilateral trade organization in the world. As the ninth largest trading nation in the world, China’s accession to the WTO is of extraordinary significance to China in deepening its reform, opening wider to the outside world, and establishing a socialist market economic system. However, joining WTO is like a double-edged sword for China, with both opportunities and challenges coexisting. China’s industry and business only
