建国以来,在毛主席革命路线指引下,高等学校中化学教育取得了很大成绩,到六十年代中期我国大学一年级化学教材已从无到有,达到了一定水平。但是由于刘少奇、林彪、特别是“四人帮”的严重干扰和破坏,近十多年来一年级化学的教学和教材都遭到了很大的灾难,在一段时间里大大削弱了一年级化学课的系统教学,教材不仅系统零乱,而且材料贫乏,水平不高,致使目前的状况与形势不能适应,与国外一些学校使用的教材相比较,也有不小的距离,还须加倍努力,迎头赶上。

Compared with the teaching materials used by some overseas schools, there is also a long way to go. We must redouble our efforts to catch up.
