就绘画的风格本身而言,在多元化的现、当代语境中,已经不再是一个有限的现实范围,而是一个相对宽泛的空间选择。就本土绘画的特色而言,彭一虹、杨贤艺也并非特色绘画的唯一代表。但是能将特定区域的民俗文化物化为特色的绘画形式,转而应用于教学实践,促进教学模式的改革与创新,又将其作为民族地区基础教育的美术师资培养的强大资源,以传承和创新民俗文化,构建民族文化的当代语境,提升区域民族艺术教育的现代水平,弘扬民族核心价值,建构民俗文化的当代生态。无疑,乌江画家群的代表人物彭一虹、杨贤艺确是实实在在的践行者。基于共同的价值追求,对彭一虹、杨贤艺本土绘画的诠释或许能给予我们对现当代艺术创作、高校艺术教育特色凝练对地方基础教育的影响、民俗文化在现代文明的生态构建等方面提供更多的思考和启示。
