1973年9月22日甘肃省文县鹄衣坝生产大队兴修农田工程时,发现一处明墓群。在一座明墓中发现一具完整古尸,当即报告县、武都专区及省有关部门。 同年10月8日由省文化局抽派省博物馆伍德煦同志,兰州医学院人体解剖学教研室陈东屏同志以及甘肃省人民医院检验科徐功元同志三人到达文县,进行调查。在当地县宣传站、县医院的密切配合协助下,对该墓进行了清理,现将清理所见报告如下:
On September 22, 1973, when the Yiyiba Production Brigade in Wen County, Gansu Province, repaired the farmland project, it discovered a group of Ming Tombs. A complete ancient corpse was found in a Ming Tomb and immediately reported to the county, Wudu Prefecture and the relevant provincial authorities. On October 8th of the same year, the Provincial Museum of Culture dispatched Comrade Woodchong, a provincial museum, Comrade Chen Dongping, Department of Anatomy, Lanzhou Medical College, and Comrade Xu Gongyuan, from the People’s Hospital of Gansu Provincial People’s Hospital, arrived in Wen County to investigate. With the close cooperation of the local county publicity stations and county hospitals, the tomb was cleared. The report of the cleanup is as follows:
