沈隽教授1934年毕业于南京金陵大学,于1937年考取当时的清华大学公费赴美留学生,在著名的康乃尔大学研究院果树系学习。三年寒窗,他的学习成绩始终名列前茅,连续两年取得该校的奖学金。他学识渊博,有较深的造诣,受到各国同学的尊敬和仰慕,导师对他也很器重。至今有些国外的老同学来我国访问时也常赞扬他。1940年他获得康乃尔大学的哲学博士学位。1940～1941年,留在该校任教一年。1941年他怀着一颗把所学的科学知识献给祖国的赤子之心回到了祖国,先后任金陵
Professor Shen Jun graduated from Nanjing Jinling University in 1934 and was admitted to Tsinghua University in 1937 as a public expense student in the United States, studying at the famous Cornell University Graduate School of Fruit Tree. Three years Hanchuang, his academic performance has always been among the best, for two consecutive years to obtain the school’s scholarship.
