[Objectives]To research the antibacterial effect of medicinal plant on gray mold. [Methods]The growth rate method was used to determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extracts from eight kinds of medicinal plants against gray mold. [Results]The lilac,Amur Corktree bark and angelica extracts had a significant inhibitory effect on the mycelial growth of gray mold( P < 0. 05),the rate of inhibiting bacteria reached more than 60%,and EC_(50) was 0. 061,0. 065,0. 0743 mg / m L,respectively, significantly different from the antibacterial effect of several other kinds of medicinal plants; it was followed by Chinese goldthread, wild ginger and common cnidium fruit extracts, with EC_(50) of 0. 0976,0. 1516,0. 1821 mg / m L,respectively. [Conclusions]The medicinal plant extracts could be further applied and experimented in the production.
