估算是对事物的数量或计算的结果作出粗略的推断和预测的过程。虽然只是对运算的结果作出粗略的估计,然而估算是一种重要的计算方法。它的作用日益受到人们的重视。在2011版的《义务教育数学课程标准》针对估算就提出“在具体情境中,能选择适当的单位进行简单的估算;对运算结果进行估计的过程中,发展数感;理解估算的意义”。这足以体现估算教学的地位。一、估算教学的具体目标《数学课程标准》对估算教学提出了具体的教学目标,在第一学段中提出:“能结合具体情境,选择适当的单位进行简单估算,体会估算在生活中的作用。”
