亨利·科尔是英国19世纪下半叶最有影响的设计改革家,他主持筹办的伦敦水晶宫博览会、创设的南肯辛顿博物馆(即现伦敦维多利亚与阿尔伯特博物馆的前身)、科尔发起的设计改革运动、构建的设计教育体系,在英国乃至世界设计史上都留下了深远的影响。本文较为全面的回顾了科尔担负博物馆艺术设计教育事业的史实,梳理了他对博物馆艺术设计教育的主要举措,进而明确了科尔对博物馆艺术设计教育产生的深远影响。
Henry Cole was the most influential designer reformer in Britain in the second half of the 19th century. He co-organized the preparation for the London Crystal Palace Exposition, the creation of South Kensington Museum (now the predecessor of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London), Cole The design reform movement initiated and the design education system constructed have far-reaching impact in the design history of Britain and the world. This article reviews Cole’s history as a museum art design education in a comprehensive way and combs his major measures of art design education in museums, thus clarifying Cole’s far-reaching influence on museum art design education.
