目前,微机已广泛地应用于各个领城,在研制微机应用系统特别是在研制适于恶劣环境的微机应用系统时,迫待解决的一个主要问题是选择一个比较理想的半固定存贮器用于存放数据、修正数据、校正数据,用以记录有关应用系统工作状况的统计数据等。理想的半固定存贮器应是信息能够重复使用、能够变换,且有信息非易失性,即电源断,信息不丢。同时还应有一定的存贮容量,存取速度,一定的工作温度范围,并坚固耐用,易于加固。而现今常用的存贮器,不论是半导体存贮器(RAM,ROM),还是磁性机械存贮装置(磁盘,磁带),都不够理想,尤其是在恶劣环境
