Fetal developmental adaptation to adverse environmental conditions may permanently affect the structure and function of cardiovascular organs and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease in adulthood. Human development mainly in the first 3 months of pregnancy, including the embryonic stage, fetal cardiovascular and metabolic organ development is an important period. Therefore, early pregnancy may be a crucial period for childhood and adult cardiovascular health. The Generation R Study is a population-based, prospective birth cohort study conducted in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After screening, 1 184 pairs of mother and child were selected in this study. The fetal head to hip length (top hip diameter) in early pregnancy represents the growth and development status of the fetus during the first trimester. The body fat percentage, abdominal fat mass /
