- It is very important that disk structures on platforms should have a satisfactory degree of safety against damage resulting from fire. I or this purpose, fife analysis must be implemented. In this study the stress and strain cycles during a fire of a disk structure fixed on a platform are considered by using Finite Difference Method. The numerical analysis will cover the whole term of the firing. In the developed computer program, the material properties are considered as a function of temperature and melting-solidifying processes of molten zone are taken into consideration too. For a small disk, the calculated results are in fairly good agreement with experimental data.
