1935年4月25日,德意志帝国公共启蒙与宣传部长约瑟夫·戈培尔(Paul Joseph Goebbels)在柏林的克罗歌剧院宣布德国国际电影节开幕。四十多个国家两千余名代表参加了电影节。在电影节的闭幕式上,戈培尔在闭幕影片《圣女贞德》(Das M?dchen Johanna,1935)——一部旨在宣扬希特勒言论,而对圣女贞德故事进行重述的电影——放映前发表了这一讲话。戈培尔在讲话中指出,电影艺术必须摒弃粗俗的民粹主义和激进的美学实验,而代之以展现国民的本原生活。
On April 25, 1935, Paul Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda of the German Empire, announced the opening of the German International Film Festival at the Coro Theater in Berlin. More than two thousand delegates from over 40 countries attended the festival. At the closing ceremony of the film festival, Goebbels wrote in the closing film “Das Mådchen Johanna” (1935), a campaign aimed at promoting Hitler’s remarks and restating the story of Joan of Arc Movie - made this announcement before the show. Goebbels pointed out in his speech that the art of film must abandon the vulgar populism and radical aesthetics experiment and replace it with the original life of the people.
