从形式因素的作用和事物形成的整体关系上看,结构素描具有与“结构活动”相近的形式表现,它的“前艺术”性质特点,决定了与绘画素描的根本不同。因而,对于设计院校的素描教学问题的提出和解决,不能局限于二者的比较上,要从结构素描的“名”、“实”关系上,看到它的本质意义上的不同,而且,只有从设计活动的根本立场上,才有可能对此形成明确的认识。
