彩票业近几年在世界上一直以15％左右的速度增长,目前已成为世界第六大产业。据统计,美国、法国、日本分别有80％、65％、70％的人买过彩票,而我国只有6％的人摸过彩票,可见我国的彩票市场大有潜力可挖。 这两年我国福利彩票发行创历史最好记录,各级民政部门和全国彩票发行系统去年上半年圆满完成国务院下达的50亿元赈灾专项募集任务。经过一年半的精心策划和准备,从2000年5月6日开始,北京8个城区800个网点同时拉开了电脑体育彩票销售的序幕,使北京继广东、福建、江苏、上海、四川等12个省市后,成为全国第13个开通电脑销售体育彩票的地区。 电脑体育彩票的销售,不仅可以增加政府的财政收入,扩大内需,更能为北京市承办2001年世界大学生运动会和申办2008年奥运会提供强有力的支持。经民政部与财政部协商,国务院批准,我国今年福利彩票的发行额度为80个亿。

The sales of computer sports lotteries will not only increase government revenue and expand domestic demand, but also provide strong support for Beijing to host the 2001 World University Games and host the 2008 Olympic Games. After the approval of the State Council through consultation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, the issue amount of welfare lottery in China this year is 80 billion.
