早在本世记初,人们就开始注意钛在钢铁材料中的作用。1909年报导了钛在铸铁中具有促进石墨化的作用;1921年发表了钛能有效地减低钢轨中硫、磷和碳的偏析的论文。但是比较有系统的研究并在钢铁材料中加以应用,还是五十年代的事。近年来,由于可焊接低合金结构钢的发展,特别是控制轧制的发展,对钛在钢中作用机理的研究更加深入;而先进的金属学研究手段也提供了深入探索的可能性。
As early as the beginning of this century, people began to pay attention to the role of titanium in steel materials.
