观察能力是人们有效地探索世界、认识事物的必备能力.科学史上的重大发现和创造,几乎都源于科学家对客观事物敏锐、细微、准确、深刻的观察:18岁的伽利略通过观察教堂内摇晃的吊灯,发现了单摆的等时性原理;玻义耳通过观察盐酸溅到紫罗兰花朵上出现的红色斑点,发现了酸碱指示剂.所谓观察,就是人们有目的、有计划地认识客观事物的知觉过程,常与积极的思维相结合.观察不仅是认识客观事物的首要环节,更是科学探究中诸多能力培养的起点和基础.
