电子冷却本质上是电子冷却作用与重离子束内散射作用的动态平衡过程.在Bjorken和Mtingwa束内散射理论的基础上,应用对称椭圆积分的方法做束内散射增长率的数值模拟,并应用于HIRFL-CSR的磁铁聚焦结构.计算结果表明,束内散射不会成为CSR磁聚焦结构设计的障碍,并且CSR可以达到冷却设计指标.
Electronic cooling is essentially a dynamic equilibrium process between electron cooling and scattering in heavy ion beams.Based on the Bjorken and Mtingwa scattering theory, the numerical simulation of the intracavity scattering growth rate is made using the method of symmetric elliptic integral The magnet focusing structure at HIRFL-CSR shows that in-beam scattering will not be an obstacle to the design of CSR’s magnetic focusing structure and that CSR can achieve the cooling design specifications.
