学科史的研究告诉我们,没有一个学科的存在和疆界是一成不变的,它们总是不断处于生成、演变、整合以及生长为其他新学科形态的过程中,没有哪个学科天生具有亘古不变的治学格局。以中国学界正在成长的国际学术对话能力和学科建设需求,类似比较文学和世界文学这种具有国际性特征学科的相互整合,既是为了超越欧洲中心主义的学科藩篱,更是为着跨文化时代文学研究的未来。一方面,它应该通过直接介入世界文学研究的学术嬗变,逐渐改变和增强学科自身参与世界对话的地位;另一方面,在建构中国现代学术的未来进程中,作为学科的“比较文学与世界文学”更应该是义不容辞的先行者,理应有更重要的学术担当。
The study of the history of the discipline tells us that no subject exists and its boundaries are immutable.
