任何管理可被理解为是使某些特定的活动有效和有序化的过程。对图书馆中任何层次的工作管理人员来说,担负并行使管理职责,旨在使其管理范围内的活动有效和有序化。在图书馆简单管理活动中,管理工作人员的经验和有限范围内的知识可使之达到上述目标。在层次较高、较复杂的图书馆管理活动中,由于活动状态变化的多样和活动中不确定因素的增加,图书馆工作管理人员仅靠个人经验和有限范围内的知识难于达到上述目标。
Any management can be understood as the process of making certain specific activities effective and orderly. For any level of work managers in the library, the management responsibilities are exercised and managed to make the activities within their management effective and orderly. In the simple library management activities, management staff experience and a limited range of knowledge can achieve this goal. In the higher level and complex library management activities, due to the variety of activities and the uncertainties in the activities, librarians will find it hard to achieve the above goals based on personal experience and limited scope of knowledge.
