一年来,由于各级党委的正确领导和广大群众的积极努力,随着工农业生产的大跃进,我省工农教育也有很大的发展,在全省广大农村、城镇和工矿企业中,掀起了轰轰烈烈的扫盲运动和大办红专学校的高潮,取得了很大的成绩。截至去年国庆前夕,在短短的半年时间内,全省共扫除了青壮年文盲640余万人,加上去年以前历年扫除的文盲,在全省青壮年中已有85.25%的人摆脱了文盲状态,成为基本无盲省。各地各单位在大力开展扫盲运动的同时和在胜利完成扫盲任务的基础上,开办了许多红专学校。据不完全统计,至去年年底止,全省共办起干部业余红专学校(包括红专大学,下同)500余所,入学干部297,285人;职工业余红专学校约2000所,入学职工1,014,000人;农民业余红专学校10万余所,入学农民400余万人;市
Over the past year, due to the correct leadership of party committees at all levels and the active efforts of the broad masses, with the great leap forward in industrial and agricultural production, the province’s education for workers and peasants has also experienced great development.
