中法文化摩擦贯穿于中法战争的始终,其主要体现为宗藩权与保护权之争,它成为中法越南问题交涉的核心之争。中法战争爆发前,中法两国就越南问题进行了反复交涉,中国极力维护宗藩制度下的宗主权,法国始终强调条约制度下的保护权。随着文化摩擦的进一步加剧,和平交涉最终破裂,爆发了战争。
The cultural friction between China and France runs through the Sino-French War. Its main manifestation is the dispute over the suzerainty and protection rights, which has become the core dispute over the Sino-French Vietnam Negotiation. Before the Sino-French War broke out, China and France conducted repeated representations on the Vietnam issue. China has tried its utmost to preserve the suzerainty rights under the suzerainty system. France has always emphasized the right of protection under the treaty system. With the further aggravation of cultural friction, peace negotiations finally ruptured and a war broke out.
