据日本《朝日新闻》报道:野生的茜草科植物茜草中,含有作用很强的抗癌成份。动物实验表明,这种抗癌物质副作用小,疗效与现有的抗癌药相匹敌。东京药大生药学教授系川秀治,从茜草中共发现七种抗癌成份,总称RA物质,其结构是一种环肽状的特殊化合物。茜草所含的七种抗癌成分中,作用最强的是RA-7。动物试验显示,RA-7对小白鼠的白血病、腹水癌、大肠癌、肺癌以及防止癌扩散均有疗效,治疗病症范围胜过长青新硷、丝裂霉素、阿霉素等,而且对正常细胞的毒性很低。RA-7在茜草根中含0.02%左右,现已开始对这种物质
