Seventeen fossils from the Early Triassic strata in the Xiejiacao Section of Guang’an, Sichuan are described in detail: Arenicolites, Bifungites, Chondrites, Didymaulichnus, Isopodichnus, Monocraterion, Palaeophycus, Phycodes, Planolites, Psammichnites, Skolithos, Taenidium, Teichichnus , Thalassinoides, Treptichnus, Uchirites and stellate fossils, which belong to the Cruziana relics. In storm deposits, Skolithos appears in the main storm deposits, whereas Planolites and Palaeophycus are frequently found in depleted sediments in storm sequences. Opportunities for trace fossils, such as Treptichnus, enrich in laminar limestone, indicating an oxygen-depleted sedimentary environment. The paper also discusses the relationship between the spatiotemporal distribution of trace fossils in strata and the recovery of marine organisms in the early Triassic after the P / Tr biotope.
