语言是文化的载体,习语又堪称是语言的精华。习语中的文化因素往往在翻译中很难把握,也往往是翻译的难点。只有正确地理解其内涵,才能译出习语的内在意义。本文中我将通过中英两种文化异同点的比较,将习语翻译归纳为三种关系类型:对应关系、半对应关系和不对应关系;在此基础上,进一步分析了习语翻译中的文化难点,尝试给出了几种解决方法。在英汉习语的翻译中,译者应根据具体情况,采用灵活的翻译策略,才能将习语译得言简意赅,形象生动,妙趣横生。
Language is the carrier of culture, idioms can be called the essence of language. Idioms in the cultural factors are often difficult to grasp in translation, but also often difficult to translate. Only by correctly understanding its meaning can we translate the intrinsic meaning of idioms. In this article, I will summarize idiom translation into three types of relations through the comparison of similarities and differences between Chinese and English cultures: correspondence, semi-correspondence and non-correspondence; on this basis, I further analyze the culture of idioms translation Difficulties, try to give several solutions. In the translation of English and Chinese idioms, the translator should adopt a flexible translation strategy according to the specific conditions, in order to translate the idioms into concise, vivid and interesting.
