1970年10月,陕西西安南郊何家村出土大批珍贵窖藏文物,包括三件玛瑙杯。其中一件为玛瑙兽首杯,用酱红地缠橙黄夹乳白色缟带的玛瑙制成,上口近圆形,下部为兽首形,兽头上有两只弯曲的羚羊角。该杯做工精细,形制特殊,为国内之孤品。陕西历史博物馆收藏,为该馆镇馆之宝。齐东方、孙机等对此均作过研究,认为该玛瑙杯极有可能是产自中西亚的舶来品或是唐人仿粟特制品,即属于希腊人称之为来通(Rtyton)的一种器物。除此之外,另两件玛瑙杯,椭圆形,无纹饰。后来整理
