在新产品试制和设备、仪表的维修中,往往有些用特殊材料制造的零件需要在真空中或保护气氛下施行无氧化加热的热处理。由于一般不具备专门设备,所以不容易实现。有资料介绍一种简单易行的无氧化退火方法。在一个用低碳钢板焊成的方形容器中,放入被处理零件,然后再放入一定数量的金属钠。最后把容器用钢板盖上,周围缝隙用电焊封死。整个容器的焊缝要保证不漏气。把这种盛有零件的容器放在普通炉子中加热,当达到某一温度时,容器中的钠开始燃烧,即发生如下的反应:
