李西安,我国知名音乐理论家、音乐教育家。1961年毕业于中央音乐学院作曲系,后任教于中央音乐学院和中国音乐学院。曾任中国音乐家协会书记处书记和理论委员会副主任、中国音乐学院院长、《人民音乐》主编等。“在古老的传统和现代的新学科之间,构筑一个巨大的张力场。”这是李西安在上世纪90年代担任中国音乐学院院长期间提出的办学方针。纵观他半个多世纪的音乐教育实践,“改革”二字贯穿始终。
Li Xian, a well-known music theorist in China, music educator. In 1961 graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music composer, taught at the Central Conservatory of Music and China Conservatory of Music.
