Jebel Abd Al Aziz is the most prominent feature of the terrain in northeastern Syria and is a large surface anticline. From 1988 to 1995, a structural and stratigraphic study conducted by Unocal held that the Jebel Abd Aziz anticline was inverted from the original one. Get to know the history of complex stratigraphic structures in the Jebel Abd Al Aziz area. It is of great significance to oil and gas exploration and development in the northern part of the Arabian tectonic plate. The close relationship between the oil-producing area and the Pliocene-Pleistocene tectonic inversion area illustrates its importance. This paper describes the tectonic evolution recorded in the strata of this area. Prior to the development of the Jebel Abd Al Aziz tectonics, the Senonian (kz) continental shelf carbonate deposition from South Turkey pre-empted to the Palmyride-Sinjar fault extending along the central-western to the northeast of Syria. The margins of the carbonate shelf are located in the southern Syrian border and are approximately parallel to the sidelines. In the area of Jebel Abd Al Aziz, fine-grained mud facies sediments are deposited on a set of transgressive thin-clap shell clastic bioclastic rocks. As early as Masstrichtian (k_2), an east-west graben developed at present-day Jebel Abd Al Aziz. Some structural faults within the graben are limited by the reactivated North West strike and the North East strike. Seismic data show that the rift basin edge erosion deeper. Some of the cut valleys on the sides of the basin distributed along the direction of the old transverse faults in the area show the Carboniferous and older strata. Some slip strata were formed at the fault cliffs of the margin of the basin, and some small turbidite fans were also developed at the estuary. Triassic sand flow direction and seismic data?
