俗话说,“人老腿先老”。中老年人忽视锻炼,不仅会使腿肌瘦弱带来支撑不稳、行走不力,而且还可能发生股骨头坏死、骸骨软化或骨质增生、踝关节疼痛等症。因此,不重视腿部的锻炼,人就会老得更快。国外对中老年人臀部、腿部肌肉的力量训练非常重视。例如,在阿尔巴尼亚设有专门为老年人举重的锻炼小组,他们的成员都是60~75岁的老年人。这些老年人长期进行腿部训练,甚至能举起105千克的杠铃进行20分钟的深蹲练习。这些高龄老人臀部和腿部的肌肉壮实而富有弹性,体形也保持得很好。
