5月7日,湖北省民委和省体委在武昌洪山体育馆举行湖北省第三届少数民族传统体育运动会和少数民族体育协会成立新闻发布会。省人大副主任王汉章、湖北省副省长苏晓云(土家族)、省政协副主席剪天聪(维吾尔族)、省民委会主任袁仲由(土家族)、省体委副主任孙义良和省计委、财政、城建、文通、广播电视、统战部等以及在汉新闻单位负责人出席了新闻发布会。第三届全省少数民族传统体育运动会将于1994年9月22日至28日在咸丰县举行。举办此届民运会旨在推动我省少数民族体育活动的经常性开展,并使我省民族体育竞赛制度化,为参加1995年全国第五届少数民族传统体育运动会选拔主队。此届运动会有四大特点。1、规格比历届高。苏晓云副省长为本届运动会领导小组组长。副组长及小组成员由省、市、地(州)、县有关人员组成。2、竞赛项目比历届多。除了保留上届7个项目(秋千、抢花炮、射驽、武术、跷旱船、高脚马、拔腰带)外,还增设了毽球,打
