英语写作教学中影响读者评价因素的跨文化研究

读者对篇章的评价受到读者文化背景和篇章特点等诸多因素的影响。将写作水平不同的四组中美大学生对三篇结构不同的作文在五个方面的评分和评论进行比较分析后发现,文化背景对读者评价有显著影响,来自相同语言文化背景的两组学生之间存在较大共性,而不同语言文化背景的学生之间存在较大差异;另一方面,受过系统英语写作训练的中国学生对篇章结构的评价倾向于接近美国学生。本研究有助于揭示中美读者在篇章结构阅读期望上的差异,为国内英语写作教学提供有针对性的建议。 The reader’s evaluation of the text is influenced by many factors such as the reader’s cultural background and the characteristics of the text. Four groups of Chinese and American undergraduates with different levels of writing made comparative analyzes on the scores and comments of three compositions with different compositions in five aspects and found that the cultural background had a significant impact on the readers’ evaluation. Two groups of students from the same linguistic and cultural backgrounds On the other hand, Chinese students trained in systematic English writing tend to approach the American students in their evaluation of the textual structure. This study helps to reveal the differences in reading expectations between Chinese and American readers, and provides targeted suggestions for domestic English writing teaching.
