Traditional teacher-centered English phonetics teaching is not effective enough.On the basis of the observation andanalysis,this paper tries to explore some problems with traditional way of teaching English phonetics to college students majoringin English under the classroom setting and proposes a student-centered teaching approach for teaching English phonetics.The re-sults suggest that a WeChat-based flipped class model for the teaching of English phonetics is feasible.
