里茶山是连州市丰阳镇湖江村委会下辖的小山村,住着39户人家。此处距村委会有10公里之遥,若徒步行走,得花3小时。里茶山有走不尽的山间小径,爬不完的峰峰峦峦,望不尽的青翠竹林。村子里每户人家都种有40至50亩毛竹。毛竹是编织的上等材料,里茶山人本该可凭此致富,但他们的竹却卖不出去。村支书胡树吉告诉笔者:一根8寸围的毛竹,若背到5公里外的八公山竹木市场,起码能卖6块钱。但因山高路遥,一个人每次只能背一根出山,来回得花4个多小时。截下的竹梢、竹枝也因没有途径利用,只能当烧火的柴草,而在山外,一根竹梢至少值2块钱。山外的人见里茶山人将好好的竹子塞进灶膛,大呼可惜。他们建议山里人想办法修公路,说只要有了公路,就可以将竹子一车车运到山外市场销售。里茶山人何尝不知道这一点,他们盼修路已盼了多年,但村干部请来勘测的人说,从湖江村至横江山路段约长5公里,造价要40万元;从横江山到里茶山有5.1公里,工程更艰巨,要花55万元。就算修湖江村至横江山公路的费用不用村民负担,光是修里茶山路段所需的资金,每户人家就得摊上万元。
